CNC turned parts
Fastlathe Precision Engineers are pleased to announce the arrival of their latest CNC machining investment.
The introduction of 3 new Doosan CNC machines, installed at Fastlathe’s Nottingham based machine shop, are being used to manufacture precision machined components and cnc turned parts for a range of industries including agriculture, automotive and grass cutting machinery.
The addition of the 3 new Doosan CNC machines will deliver accuracy, repeatability and reliability and superior surface finishes with mill-drill capability and Y-axis with full C-axis sub spindle.
Paul Horspool, Managing Director at Fastlathe said: “We needed a multi-tasking and flexible turning centre to achieve the part accuracies, surface finishes and the delivery lead times of our growing automotive, agricultural and grass cutting machinery customer base.”
“Choosing the right CNC machine for our existing customers applications was important but our challenge was also to ensure we could deliver complex CNC turned parts and assemblies moving forwards.”
“This investment will increase our bar feed capability to 4″ (100mm) diameter to compliment our existing CNC machining capabilities and offer an additional flexible manufacturing cell to improve work flow, component accuracy and production efficiency.”
As part of strategic drive to grow their customer base, that also includes working towards ISO 9001 accreditation, the addition of the Doosan machines will help Fastlathe to secure additional subcontract engineering contracts to deliver high-precision prototypes and CNC turned parts.
Established in 1978, Fastlathe are CNC Machining company located on the border of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire supplying high quality subcontract engineering and powder coating services.
Whether it’s a CNC turned parts for the agricultural industry or a CNC milled part for a motorbike exhaust system, Fastlathe guarantee a fast and efficient service with no compromise on quality or delivery.
